This position is available on 2nd or 3rd shift, but training takes place on 1st shift. There is a 10% 2nd shift premium and a 15% 3rd shift premium.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a top performing machinist to run our Integrex Machines in our Lathe Department. This individual will perform a series of complex machine operations, including set-up and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who thrives in a low volume/high mix, complex, and precision environment. The role will involve reading and editing G&M code, performing first piece and in-process quality inspections, mazatroling parts at the machine, and 5s of the work area.  Machinist will be in full control of setup and working closely with the first shift operator and programming to fix potential problems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required. Advanced education or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Mazatrol conversational programming knowledge required.
  • 3-5 years of CNC Mazak Integrex or 3-axis lathe experience required. 
  • Experience running different grades of material and performing multiple set-ups per day required.
  • Willingness to be flexible and run more than one machine is required.
  • Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls.
  • Knowledge of Mazak Quick Turns and Integrex machines is preferred.
