The Human Resources/Payroll Coordinator will report to the Human Resources Manager and will assist with a variety of duties in the department. This may include supporting payroll, administrative tasks, coordinating trainings and other projects as assigned.
During a typical day, you'll:
- Support the payroll department by serving as a back-up to the bi-weekly payroll through HRIS System.
- Process all payroll related information in compliance with federal, state and local laws and company policy.
- Maintains confidentiality and safeguards payroll information.
- Process and respond to unemployment requests.
- Maintain all training files, coordinate trainings, and provides training when needed. Track training and regularly report on programs, outcomes and assist in identifying skill gaps.
- Maintain general working knowledge of HR and Payroll related laws and regulations.
- Resolve various employee questions through phone, email, mail, and face-to-face.
- Organize, file, and handle confidential information.
- Assist with various administrative duties within the HR and Payroll department. May serve other members in the department as a backup as well.
- Complete and submit salary surveys.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the role:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; major in Human Resources or related discipline preferred. High School degree or equivalent required.
- Strong excel knowledge.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Eager to acquire new skills and knowledge.
- Excellent organization, time management and follow-up skills.
- High sense of urgency and responsiveness.
- Willingness and ability to collaborate and work as a team.
