Job Summary 

Support the Continuous Improvement Department with releated projects to meet business goals in Lead Time Reduction, On-Time Delivery, and First Time Right Quality metrics. Assist operations in trouble shooting processes to minimize scrap and waste and ensure reliable manufacturing capabilities. Manage and develop flow diagrams and process mapping. Investigate processes to identify root case and implement effective corrective actions. Coach/mentor colleagues on Lean Manufacturing techniques. Lead Kaizen events to streamline processes. Effectively use Lean tools to solve problems: 5S, standardized work, visual management, Kaizen, value-stream mapping, and root cause analysis. Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of all TPM (e.g. Planned Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance, CI) and 5S related activities.

Experience/Education Requirements 

Extensive knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and quality. Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.  

 

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline. (Industrial, Mechanical, and Electrical) or equivalent experience.  

 

Requires 2-5 year so related job experience. Must have a high level of organizational and decision-making skills and be able to manage a team environment to achieve tight deadlines.  

 

Responsibilities and Duties 

- Update facility drawings and create new layout drawings in order to optimize material and process flow- (CAD) 

-Assist with the analysis of new Capital Investments 

- Analyze processes to ensure quality and processes optimization 

- Facilitate Kaizen events to improve processes throughout the entire Value Stream 

- Assist with Continuous Improvement, 5S, process flow, and maintaining accurate manufacturing layouts 

-Facilitate the implementation and sustainment of 5S practices throughout the facility 

-Assist with implementation and sustainment of ISO standards within company 

- Mentor IE interns
