JOB SUMMARY:

As a quality technician, you will play a vital role in maintain and improving the quality of products and processes within the Krones Inc. Warehouse. Quality technicians will be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications for the overhaul process. Your attention to detail and expertise in quality control techniques will contribute to the overall success of the quality management system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate and enforce safety, environmental and sustainability policies in all areas.
  • Verify overhaul orders to ensure correct identity, accuracy and 100% quality (package protection, staging, damage, quantities, etc.).
  • Identify and ensure that sensitive parts are package protected for overhaul orders.
  • Assist overhaul team with preventative and corrective actions as part of overhaul process improvements.
  • Analyze and validate overhaul process improvements and provide further actions/feedback to overhaul team.
  • Take pictures of parts for all aseptic overhauls and customer specific overhauls prior to shipments.
  • Execute Gate 6 inspection process for high risk level overhaul projects.
  • Execute QC projects related to field issues (part discrepancies, discontinued. ECO’s, etc.) that require stock segregation, production order reworks, F2 quality vendor complaints, scrap and return to warehouse.
  • Inspect QM lot orders in the overflow to ensure accuracy and 100% quality (quantity, dimensions, damage, identity, functionality)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Minimum: High School degree and at least 3 years’ experience as a quality technician
  • Preferred: Associates’ degree in Quality/Lean Manufacturing or related field

Experience and/or Training:

  • At least three years of experience in quality inspection/lean manufacturing or related field   

Professional Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing applications, procedures, and quality assurance, basic understanding of reading blueprints, proficient understanding of SAP, Microsoft Office Tools including Intermediate Excel, ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometers and GD & T and have a basic understanding of the metric system.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, good organization and time management, ability to multi-task efficiently, and have effective interpersonal skills. 

Physical/Working Demands

  • Good working conditions in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required within the shop floor (safety glasses, steel toe boots, etc.).
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds or more when needed.
