Job Summary:

 

The Logistics Project Manager has the primary day-to-day responsibilities of transportation and tracking of DC01 machine shipments from Germany to North America. This includes ensuring project coordination between Freight Forwarders, job-site Project Managers, a 3rd party packaging company, and other Krones entities.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage international transportation and tracking of DC01 machine shipments from Germany to North America
  • Coordinate logistics activities between freight forwarders, job-site project managers, third-party packaging companies, and internal Krones entities
  • Travel to job sites and partner locations approximately six times per year to support project execution
  • Support the Procurement Team in the execution of Freight Provider bids
  • Communicate department and Company updates clearly and timely to ensure alignment and informed decision-making
  • Promote a respectful, collaborative, and customer-focused culture across internal and external teams
  • Support the Global Corporate Customs Policy to ensure regional compliance
  • Foster positive associate relations, while ensuring Company vision, mission, and core values are met
  • Establish priorities and set goals to meet project timelines and quality standards
  • Manage the use, revision, and/or creation of standard operating procedures and/or work instructions
  • Direct policy compliance and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization including senior leadership and functional groups
  • Use professional development tools (self-study, etc.) to enhance management and technical skills
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors degree in associated field preferred
  • 5+ years in Logistics Project Management preferred


Professional Skills:

  • Freight Forwarder Air Freight and Ocean Freight (OOG & containerized), Parcel carriers, LTL & FTL carriers, Domestic Air Freight experience required
  • Negotiating with Freight Providers and RFP/RFQ execution.
  • Project Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. SAP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of business administration, process and structural knowledge, and knowledge of policies, directives, guidelines, and standards.

  • General social skills, capacity for teamwork, customer orientation, learning aptitude, problem-solving competence, leadership skills, time- and self-management, detail orientation, coordination and organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
