Job Description

Krones, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer 2 - ESS to utilize specialized knowledge of packaging machinery including conveyors, labelers, and filling equipment to understand the mechanical design as well as start-up and troubleshooting of the machine or retrofit assemblies. The role will support North America retrofit and new machine installations by providing efficient resolutions to technical issues and being a direct resource for Service Line and Regional Field Service. This role will also work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, both in North America and Europe, to provide engineering and troubleshooting support during installation as well as improve current processes to reduce downtime and increase customer satisfaction.

This is a remote position that requires up to 33% travel to customer sites and our North American Headquarters in Franklin, Wisconsin.

 

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 2 years of experience as a Service Technician/Engineer in the packaging industry. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a high school diploma and at least 8 years of experience as a Service Technician/Engineer in the packaging industry is also acceptable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

 

The individual in this position must reside within the United States.

Employees receive compensation aligned with their skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $105,000.
