This is a 2nd shift position, with 1st shift training, that will provide support to assembly and manufacturing. The standard hours on 2nd shift can either be 12:00 - 8:00 P.M. or 1:00 - 9:00 P.M.
The 1st shift training is expected to last one to two months before the transfer to 2nd shift would take place. We offer a 2nd shift premium of 10% that would kick in after the completion of the 1st shift training.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for managing the inventory levels, schedules, and availability of selected items, either manufactured or purchased.
- Review and act on order release, actions, and exception reports generated by the system.
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Create schedules for production in the manufacturing plant, considering many factors such as equipment load and available capacity, product mix (stock versus make to order), and raw material availability.
- Use SAP to view material movements, quantities on order, and current balance on hand.
- Provide support for special projects within the department by completing assignments, providing historical records, and providing future projections of shop load using SAP.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualified candidates will have two years of practical work experience as a Materials Planner/Scheduler Analyst in an engineer/make-to-order manufacturing setting.
- Computer ability is required, including experience with SAP manufacturing software, spreadsheets, database managers, etc.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing practices, materials, finishes, blueprint reading, and metric system preferred.
