The QM Electrical / Assembler Inspection Technician will perform set-up inspections for diagnosing problem areas to ensure accuracy and quality of workmanship on a variety of labeling machines, retrofits, filler valves, glue mechs and aggregates. Test functional requirements on all mechanical and electrical/pneumatic assemblies or machinery. Approve finished products for onward shipment to the market. Record test results as required. Interact with mechanical/electrical engineering on design discrepancies that might impair safety or required operating parameters. Ability to use SAP system to fully process orders (i.e. finding the BOMs and drawings, look up sales or production orders etc.). Troubleshoot and correct problem areas relative to the appropriate parameters of various machine types, i.e. programming, schematics, BOMs and other related areas. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within electrical standards (NFPA, NEC, UL). Ability to load electrical softwares (PLC, HMI). Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Ability to work overtime to meet production schedule as needed. Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and stand/walk 75% of the day.

 

High school education required, Associate degree in industrial automation or electronics preferred. Experience assembling electrical panels or machine electrical systems preferred. Knowledge of PLCs and HMIs. Requires a working knowledge of precision electrical assembly techniques as well as basic mechanical principals. Must have the ability to use measuring devices, hand and power tools. Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and electrical schematics. Working knowledge of metric system required. Proficient in the Microsoft Suite (i.e. File Explorer, Word, Excel, Teams).
