As the quality returns coordinator/technician you will be responsible for processing all types of customer returns and executing further actions to resolve customer issues or requests including parts/assembly repairs, exchanges, scrapping, and evaluation

 

Job Decription:

  • Receive and inspect incoming returns from customers, service technicians, subsidiaries etc.
  • Determine appropriate recipient for return and contact them for disposition (scrap, repair, forwarding, evaluation etc.)
  • Return parts/assemblies to stock as part of our stocking program
  • Return parts/assemblies to customers or forward parts to vendors, subsidiaries or 3rd party companies for further evaluation.
  • Track and analyze parts/assemblies returns data using Microsoft Excel and SAP as well as inhouse tracking of rework or repairs.
  • Process specialized assemblies (crushing rollers, valves, cutting units, Glue Mechs, Aggregates etc.) as part of the Krones exchange program.
  • Communicate with multiple cross-functional departments across the organization through phone, email, MS teams and be able to understand basic Krones processes to correctly process returns or resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with quality personnel on resolving reclamations through evaluations, repairs etc. and join weekly quality reclamation meetings.
  • Ship parts internationally and create entries in Global Wizard software.
  • Create, review and update return process work instructions, and procedures.
  • Discard multiple scrap items using transportation equipment such as pallet jacks etc.
  • Ability to test parts/materials on material tester.
  • Maintain 5S principles and execute 5S actions in the RMA area.

 

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training:

  • At least three years of experience in quality inspection or related field
  • Overhead Crane Training preferred (Will be needed to perform job duties)

 

Professional Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing applications, procedures, and quality assurance, ISO 9001, basic understanding of reading blueprints, proficient understanding of SAP, Microsoft Office Tools including Intermediate Excel, ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers and GD & T and have a basic understanding of the metric system.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, good organization and time management, ability to multi-task efficiently, and have effective interpersonal skills.

 

Physical/Working Conditions:

  • Good working conditions in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required within the shop floor (safety glasses, steel toe boots, etc.).
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds or more as part of job duties.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and use other transportation equipment
