Receiving & Quality Specialist

Location: Krones, Inc., Franklin, WI

 Reports to: 1st Shift Supervisor, Logistics Operations

 

Position Summary

The Receiving & Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring all incoming materials—including spare parts and raw materials—are accurately received and meet Krones’ high-quality standards. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with established work instructions and supporting efficient logistics operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Receiving Operations

  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and manufacturing specifications.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely entry into ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
  • Coordinate with warehouse and production teams for proper material handling and storage.
  • Review interdepartmental documents to track delivery timelines and identify nonconformances.

Quality Operations

  • Ensure the Receiving Team adheres to quality inspection standards outlined in work instructions.
  • Create Quality Notifications (F2) for external suppliers when nonconforming materials are received.
  • Communicate with the procurement team regarding quality issues and corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements in receiving and quality workflows.
  • Participate in company 5S initiatives and waste reduction programs.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing receiving, quality control, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP experience a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications.

 

Skills

  • Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and tools used in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
