JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with extensive knowledge of SAP systems to join our finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, supporting reporting processes, and leveraging SAP to drive efficiency and compliance. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, deep ERP experience, and the ability to partner across departments     

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

• Ensure timely and accurate financial close processes

• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures

 

SAP System Expertise

• Leverage SAP (FI/CO, GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting modules) to manage financial data and reporting

• Lead SAP-related accounting initiatives, including system enhancements, implementations, or upgrades

• Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with IT teams to resolve discrepancies

• Develop and maintain SAP reports and dashboards for financial analysis

 

Compliance & Audit Support

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

• Coordinate and support internal and external audits

• Prepare audit schedules and technical accounting documentation

 

Financial Analysis & Business Support

• Perform financial analysis, trend reporting, and variance explanations

• Partner with business units to provide insights and support decision-making

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

 

Process Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

• Automate workflows within SAP where possible

• Drive standardization of accounting practices across the organization

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting

Experience and/or Training: Minimum 5 years Accounting Experience, Extensive hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems (FI/CO required; S/4HANA preferred) 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Experience and/or Training: CMA or CPA
