Accountant role will be crucial to achieving FICO department functions. Person will be involved with month-end and year-end closing activities. Accountant will be expected to perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations. Accountant is expected to handle basic Accounting tasks with minimal assistance. Accountant should have a questioning mindset and develop skills to investigate.           

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities: such as compiling data to complete Business Unit and Product Line P&L
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
  • Develop understanding of US GAAP standards, be able to understand new developments within standards
  • Develop and analyze reports to aid in evaluation of Business Line activities: such as service labor analysis, shop floor utilization, revenue and cost drivers
  • Understand internal control system and actively monitor to ensure integrity of data
  • Assist external auditors in gathering information and documents for successful audit process
  • Perform simple to moderate accounting assignments, such as maintaining backlog reporting, putting together hedging effectiveness worksheet

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting

Experience and/or Training: Three to five plus years of Accounting Experience

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and/or Training: CMA or CPA

 

SKILLS:

Professional Skills: 

  • Understanding of Accounting codification
  • Basic use of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Soft Skills: 

  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team or individual environment
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail
