JOB DESCRIPTION: As supervisor for the Labeling Product Line you will be directly respsible for training plan development and execution for your direct reports. Cooridinating and overseeing skill level audits in the field at customer sites. Resolving technical issue at customer site with your team when needed. Recruiting and retaining talent for the Labeling Product Line. This position will require travel to customer faciltiies away from the Krones facility 50% of the time. 

  • Assign, prioritize, and review the work of subordinates. Ensure that work is accurate, timely and completed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and objectives
  • Develop and motivate staff; monitor performance, recommend training requirements and follow through, and document progress or problems. Take appropriate personnel action through consistent application and enforcement of Company policies regarding discipline, termination, transfers, promotions, demotions, evaluations and pay increases; and document job-related decisions in accordance with Company practice
  • Supervise activities of the assigned unit or department in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and objectives. Serve as a positive example to subordinates; demonstrate interest and enthusiasm toward the Company and the job; project a professional image.
  • Communicate relevant department and Company information in a timely and accurate manner to ensure staff is adequately informed. Encourage feedback/suggestions from subordinates and colleagues. Demonstrate a cooperative, courteous, and respectful manner towards all internal and external customers. Communicate directly with Krones international locations when needed – additional Service Technician requirements, machine issues, etc
  • Establish sound priorities and set goals to achieve results within appropriate time frame. Recommend improvements to systems and procedures to enhance efficiency of workflow and quality of output.
  • Use professional development tools (self-study, etc.) to enhance management, technical and supervisory skills. Encourage/allow staff to develop and grow within the scope of their responsibilities and personal/professional goals. Will recommend the training required for Technicians
  • Manage Company resources through effective and appropriate use and maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, phones, and energy. Maximize cost efficiencies and institute operational measures to adjust utilization of staff and materials to actual workload. Establish departmental budget and administer controls to assure conformity and promote fiscal responsibility
  • Maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors; communicate and enforce safety and environmental policies; serve as a role model in compliance.
  • Provide supervisory directions to field service personnel in their attempts to diagnose equipment problems and find solutions. Ensure that field service personnel are responsive to customer needs and requirements.
  • Develop and distribute accurate and timely reports that are responsive to management’s needs.
  • Maintain or develop relationships with internal and external customers with support network.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of specialty is required with 1-2 years in the food and beverage manufacturing equipment industry.
    • 4 – 7 years of related work history with progressively more responsibility, complex project management, and knowledge of Krones labeling technology in lieu of Bachelors Degree.
