JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:

Technical Quotation Specialist – position plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence by managing SAP/CRM activity, sales quotation workflows, as well as serving as a liaison between customers, sales and operations. This position will work closely with the project team members to handle all New Machines (DC01 - KOSME) sales quotations as well as outside Sales team members.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage/coordinate technical quotation/order activity in SAP orders.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of Kosme/Krones Equipment Portfolio.
  • Work closely with interdepartmental and international colleagues.
  • Assist with project coordinator and project manager on an as needed basis.
  • Requires domestic and foreign travel (5 - 10% of time).

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: High school diploma and 3+ years related experience and/or training required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s Degree.
  • Knowledge of various packaging equipment or other technical/machinery concepts.
  • SAP and Salesforce experience a plus. 
  • Market knowledge, process and structural knowledge, knowledge of business administration, and knowledge of policies, directives, guidelines, and standards.  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL / WORKING DEMANDS:

1) Limited physical effort is required, and work is performed under generally good working conditions in an office atmosphere with occasional exposure to shop/plant. Some assignments may require exposure to shop during project work.

2) Equipment use includes copy machine, telephone, fax, PC, calculator and gauges.

3) Standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching/bending, lifting/carrying objects (10 - 25#) are required for 10 - 25% of time. Low level of finger dexterity is required for 10 - 25% of time. Talking and hearing (75%) are required in order to understand spoken directions, requests for information, etc. Sitting is required for 75% of time.

4) Requires domestic and foreign travel (5-10% of time). Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport.

5) Appropriate OSHA safety training required.

6) Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all safety and environmental policies/procedures. Each employee is to place environment, health and safety requirements as the first priority in the performance of their work duties. An employee is responsible for notifying their immediate supervisor of a violation or deficiency in working conditions and for recommending corrective measures, if possible. Additionally, the employee’s immediate supervisor is to be notified of every injury or illness or near miss.
