This is a 1st shift opportunity in the Tool Crib and involves performing a series of duties including setting CNC jobs for various vertical machines, 5-axis machines, turning machines, as well as material movement. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, and report damage or wear to supervisors
  • Set up fixturing for the machines
  • Perform simple repairs and adjustments, and lubricate tools and equipment
  • Deliver tools or equipment to workers
  • Mark and identify tools and equipment
  • Maintain the tool crib
  • Manage inventory, issue tools and equipment to employees, and ensure tools are properly maintained and organized
  • Use measuring devices like micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met
  • Material movement
  • Use forklift or crane to store and retrieve fixturing and other essential equipment
  • Use SAP, Microsoft, Excel, and other softwares as needed
  • Read drawings/prints to identify operations, specification, and tolerances
  • Use various hand tools to finish and check parts
  • Use pedestal grinders
  • Communicate with various departments within a team environment

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required, advanced education or apprenticeship preferred
  • 3-5 years of CNC/Tool crib experience preferred
  • Strong math skills required
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team environment
  • Willingness to move between functions in the tool crib
  • Ability to utilize computers and applicable softwares

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Ability to lift heavy weights, bend, stoop and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and noise level
