Under the leadership of the Head of Regional Field Service you will be responsible supervising the VAMOS team along with the creation of VAMOS quotes.   This position will be a hybrid position located in Franklin, WI.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:


VAMOS Project Planner Supervisor - Service:

  • Lead and supervise the VAMOS calculation team to provide guidance and coaching to ensure accuracy of the VAMOS quote.
  • Assign, prioritize, and review work of subordinates. Ensure that work is accurate, timely and completed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Develop and motivate staff; monitor performance, recommend training requirements and follow through, and document progress or problems. Take appropriate personnel action through consistent application and enforcement of Company policies regarding discipline, termination, transfers, promotions, demotions, evaluations and pay increases, and document job-related decisions in accordance with Company practice.
  • Supervise activities of the assigned unit or department in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and objectives. Serve as a positive example to subordinates; demonstrate interest and enthusiasm toward the Company and the job; project a professional image.
  • Maintain or develop relationship with internal and external customers with support network.
  • Use professional development tools (self-study, etc.) to enhance management, technical and supervisory skills. Encourage/allow staff to develop and grow within the scope of their responsibilities and personal/professional goals.
  • Develop and distribute accurate and timely reports that are responsive to management’s needs.
  • Managing and controlling status 10 (order clarification) new machine projects related to field assembly (clarification of basic customer conditions, acceptability check, preparation and review of assembly schedules, tenders, resource requirement planning, etc.).
  • Perform mechanical assembly / service calculations for RAN (acceptability check, basic conditions).
  • Handles quotations and order adjustments for service work orders in close cooperation with other cross-functional teams, such as sales and business units.
  • Technical order clarification with product lines and customers (on-site order clarification kick-off meetings, etc. (if necessary)).
  • Supporting sales team collaboration activities, customer recommended service explanation / overview and line concept reviews with the customer.
  • Create preliminary project overviews (schedules, man-power planning, service presentations, etc.)
     

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:  Requires a bachelor’s degree in an industry related field or equivalent experience that normally would be gained by an extensive training program or previous on-the-job experience in site management.

Experience and/or Training: 
•    Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in the packaging industry, a strong technical background, and knowledge of Krones packaging equipment.

•    Ability as a strong decision maker to assess and analyze project situations for the best possible outcome with projects goals.

•    Must have computer abilities and experience with project scheduling software (MS Project preferred) and spreadsheet software, in a Microsoft Windows environment.

•    Must be able to perform work of a technical, involved nature requiring the use of judgment and independent thinking where only general procedures apply.
•    A substantial degree of interpersonal interaction skills is required with ability to provide details on calculations, internal processes, etc.
•    Good organization skills preferred.

•    Up to 25% - 50% travel.

•    Position based in Krones North America region.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in an industry related field or equivalent experience that normally would be gained by an extensive training program or previous on-the-job experience in site management.
Experience and/or Training: CAPM or PMP certified with background in project management / coordination
