Responsibilities

  • Perform welding duties using tig welder, wire welder, spot welder, and/or oxy/acetylene torch
  • Clean and dress welds as required
  • Set up and lay out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products
  • Manual machine setup and operation of drill press, welding machines, pneumatic tools and/or grinders required to process fabricated parts and assemblies
  • Be willing to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of welding experience
  • Some knowledge of the metric system and basic hand tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
  • Basic computer skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced education or apprenticeship
  • Tig welding experience
